Every lightning protection system must undergo an
acceptance test following installation. The documenta-
tion should updated following each test service. addition, the entire system must checked
following any lightning surge voltage event.
In addition visual inspection the system and its
compliance with the relevant documentation, volume
resistance must also measured. Accord-
ing the current lightning protection standard, IEC
62305, the air-termination and conduction equipment,
the earthing system and the equipotential bonding
must tested. Regular tests
must also carried out ensure correct function-
ing.
