surge voltages atmospheric origin and switching
surges due the following reasons:
• Surge voltages are not weakened attenuated suf-
ficiently earthing cables.
• Surge voltage damage frequently occurs re-
sources operated power and data/telephone
networks.
• The use control and communication equipment
is continually increasing.
