Lightning current coupling into the

If direct lightning strike hits installation with non-
isolated lightning protection, arcing will take place
onto earthed metal constructions into electrical in-
stallations. this not
practicable, high-voltage-resistant insulated down-
conductor can used maintain equivalent sep-
aration distance.
In isolated system, correctly calculated separa-
tion distance will ensure that the lightning current
flows right through the earthing system
