addition, the EMC re-
quirements play ever greater role.

Chapter The external lightning protection system
.
To implement insulated external lightning protec-
tion system, metallic conductors can applied
through insulators, such GFK bracket units, a
separation distance (s) according IEC/EN 62305-3.2.2. external light-
ning protection system, consisting air-termination
system, conductor system and earthing system,
can also make contribution the preventive fire
protection and EMC protection building. Such insu-
lated structure required, for example, the structure
or part the structure should not carry lightning cur-
rent, but located the protection area the insu-
lated external lightning protection system.1 Problem
Increasingly, structures, the electrical equipment is
being moved onto the roof. This insulates the air-termination system and con-
ductor system from the structure, i.13.13 New technical specification

tection systems with insulators and high-voltage-
resistant, insulated conductors according IEC/EN

2.e. The erec-
tion external lightning protection system accord-
ing IEC/EN 62305-3 allows the arrangement a
separate lightning protection system, which insu-

Definition the separation distance for insulators
This separation distance (s) can also achieved
through high-voltage-resistant insulated conductors,
whereby the high-voltage-resistant conductor can be
routed directly the surface the structure
