We take care it.4 Parallel regulation
With parallel regulation, you can determine whether the second regulator connected
through the E-LAN. only possible automatically
control both regulators the optional operating mode 'Parallel regulation without com-
munication'. sent one the
regulator's binary inputs through the SCADA system (prerequisite: SCADA connection
through REG-P, REG-PE REG-PED) can set permanently ON.
The following parameters are available for master-slave parallel regulation and may only
be set for the master:
. calculate the P-coil's
target position, any fixed coils that are connected the master the slave regulator are
also taken into account. However, both regulators see the same zero sequence voltage Une soon
as they are switched the same compensation district.
An E-LAN connection recommended when both regulators are installed the same sub-
station because enables the regulators exchange information with each other real
time. Use 'Move
slave coil' (tune) activate this function (see table).
The regulators can operated master/slave 'parallel regulation without communica-
tion' (special feature).
The slave's current coil position transmitted the master through the E-LAN and nec-
essary taken into account when calculating the compensation.
During tuning process, the master establishes that cannot reach the desired end posi-
tion. Moving the slave, however, will change the position the master's coil.
Regulators that are installed further apart from each other cannot usually communicate
over the E-LAN.
In the simplest form master-slave operation, the slave regulator blocked soon the
coupling the two regulators detected and the master has taken over the regulation.
