There is
now duty for all those working construction sites wear head protec-
tion, and this includes electricians working site subcontractors. These regulations are made under the Health
and Safety Work Act 1974 and are designed specifically promote safety
at work the construction industry. Welfare facilities set out minimum provisions for site accommodation:
washing facilities, sanitary conveniences and protective clothing. This includes most types protective
clothing, and equipment such eye, foot and head protection, safety har-
nesses, life jackets and high visibility clothing.
