Duroplasts have high dimensional stability, low water absorption, extremely good
tracking resistance and outstanding fire resistance. This
property makes the terminal blocks suitable for use nuclear power plants.

Epoxy resin (EP)
Epoxy resin has extremely good tracking resistance and also heat resistant. The deformation resistance
of the duroplasts under elevated thermal load better than for thermoplastics.
A disadvantage compared with thermoplastics the low
flexibility duroplasts.
Compared with thermoplastics, KrG absorbs only very small
amount water from the air. The continuous operating
temperature higher than that thermoplastics.41
