Insertion depth the coding pins
Left: The coding pin flush
with the coding element
correct
Right: The coding pin not flush
with the coding element
wrong
Hand tool for inserting the coding pins
KOS-01 into the coding elements KOP-01
or the coding frame KOR09 according
to the Inotec coding plan.
Hand tool for coding pins
Processing:
Make sure the connector encoded positioned a
straight and stable base
Insert the KOS-01 encoding pin into the KOD101 encoding
tool with the thin side
Position the pin and tool perpendicular the slot occu-
pied the encoding element
Press against the spring force the coding tool until the
striking mechanism triggers the pin driven into the coding
element
The larger diameters the coding pins must sit completely
and flush the coding frame coding element
Check and adjust the impact force:
The spring force the KOD101 pre-set the factory for
mounting the pins fixed work surface
Depending the mounting conditions, adjustment the
impact force may necessary
Reduce impact force turning the head the end cap the
left (minus)
Increase impact force, turning the head the end cap to
the right (plus)
When optimally adjusted, the coding pin inserted flush with
one strike
Please note that, various assembly conditions and the
component tolerances, may still necessary trigger the
impact mechanism several times
