The scope and the contents 17-102 clearly shows that not “Product Standard” but rather
than “Installation/ Product Standard”, See Avant-Propos. Any improved performance air-
terminations due “active” elements (such ESE) which modify the protected volume provided
by the air-termination system (EN 62305), does not comply with such EN;
- because status EN, standards lightning protection providing requirements other than
those reported 62305-1 (for instance modifying the protected volume provided air-
termination system) are conflicting standards.”

For the determination the volume protected only the real physical dimensions the metal air-
termination systems shall considered.
