What “gas-tight” connection?
In gas-tight connection, the conductor and the ferrule
are compressed, eliminating all spaces.
Elevated resistance detrimental for both signal trans-
mission (signal flow damped) and power transmission,
resulting power loss and contact heating (risk fire). These tools open
automatically after the crimping operation complete.246
