RS-485 Network Installation Guidelines
To ensure stable and reliable communication, follow these recommendations when
installing the RS-485 network:
1) Topology Always use bus (daisy-chain) topology.
2) Cabling Use shielded twisted-pair (STP) cable for the RS-485 communication
lines and B). RS-485 line
termination configured using DIP switch SW2. The shield should properly grounded one point only. Star ring topologies are
not permitted, they cause signal reflections and degrade communication
quality.
