Lay open the ripcord. Grip the ripcord with screwdriver.
Grip the ripcord and pull them the required length. 15cm from one cable end. Heat the cable sheath wich you will remove.

Open the cable sheath means the ripcords (vertical the cable) long you need.
Remove the cable sheath and the strain-bearing elements.
