Look for values, which are not line with the majority the thyristors, 2T1
showing lower value.

Change the connection according figure and repeat the
measurement.
Disconnect these six sets cables form the HV-board.
Connect the megger the main terminals the softstarter
1L1 and 2T1 according figure Note the result. guide for good thyristor when the value above 1Mohm. When
identified shorted has replaced with new one.
Mark the cables from the thyristors with L1, and L3.Discharge the tools and yourselfby touching earth (ifyou
are not earthed).
An analysis the test result from all three phases will show you have shorted ,
thyristor not. There are different instructions depending both type and size of
softstarters.
When ready, please make sure that you reconnected the gate cables the same position before. are position, properly
connected (they may slide off during handling the plastic top). Note the result
Repeat the tests the two remaining phases between Figure B
3L2 4T2 and 5L3 6T3.When ready you will have six
different values.
Set the megger 500V.

changing thyristors.
