Connect the megger the main terminals the softstarter
1L1 and 2T1 according figure Note the result. There are different instructions depending both type and size of
softstarters.
Please also check that all other cables, for the temperature sensor, fans etc. Look for values, which are not line with the majority the thyristors, 2T1
showing lower value. When
identified shorted has replaced with new one.
An analysis the test result from all three phases will show you have shorted ,
thyristor not.When ready you will have six
different values.

Change the connection according figure and repeat the
measurement.
Set the megger 500V.
Mound the plastic top back position and finally, reconnect all control cables and the main cables.
Disconnect these six sets cables form the HV-board.Discharge the tools and yourselfby touching earth (ifyou
are not earthed). are position, properly
connected (they may slide off during handling the plastic top). Note the result
Repeat the tests the two remaining phases between Figure B
3L2 4T2 and 5L3 6T3.
When ready, please make sure that you reconnected the gate cables the same position before.
