Weidmüller‘s enclosures are often used harsh environments. certify this, the enclosures are
tested line with DIN 60529 accredited Weidmüller
laboratory.
Further tests are carried out our accredited laboratory:
• Impact resistance testing (IK number)
• Shock and vibration test
• Salt spray test (proof corrosion resistance)
• Long-term testing accordance with IECEx
- Heat resistance
- Cold resistance
• Computer tomography (CT)

Enclosures are therefore classified terms (Ingress
Protection) protection classes.

internal components from external influences like moisture or
dust.
