PE terminals
A terminal component with one
or several clamping points for
connecting and/or branching PE
conductors (PE and PEN conductors)
with conductive connection their
mountings. Partly insulated PE
terminals are insulated from adjacent
live parts terminals; the partial
insulation coloured green/yellow. They have several
connection levels, all isolated from
each other. Steel terminal rails
may not used.
Applications IEC 60947-7-1 /
IEC 60947-7-2
DIN VDE 0611-4 (partly)
These standards apply multi-level
distribution terminals with clamping
points with/without screws for
connecting linking solid, stranded
or flexible copper conductors.
Multi-level distribution terminals
A multi-level distribution terminal
is unit with clamping points for
connecting and/or linking phase,
neutral and conductors their
mountings with conductive PE
connection.The N-conductor
can disconnected for insulation
measurements; not used for
disconnecting switching.
The product pages contain details of
the maximum power loss for individual
or group arrangements for short-circuit
and/or overload protection.
Fuse terminals for protecting devices
are rated for certain maximum power
loss the basis IEC 60127-2,
which covers G-type cartridge fuses.
PEN function
According IEC 60947-7-2, only
copper terminal rails may used for
the PEN function.
Fuse terminals
Fuse terminals consist terminal
base and cartridge fuse holder. In
the case fuse terminals for low-
voltage cartridge fuses (D-system),
the technical data defined by
IEC 60947-7-3 conjunction with
VDE 0636 part 301.
In distribution terminals, phase
conductor and/or and conductor
connections are all realised a

Applications (IEC 60947-7-2)
This standard applies terminals
with function 120 mm2
and to
PE terminals with PEN function for sizes
upwards mm2
with clamping
points with without screws for
connecting round copper conductors
with cross-section between 0.
Use 15
In order comply with the
current-carrying ability required
by IEC 60947-7-2, the 15
terminal rail must used for PE
terminals with rated cross-section of
16 mm2
and upwards.
