If new fuse doesn't blow breaker
doesn't trip right away, turn each wall
switch, one one, until fuse blows or
circuit breaker trips.
If circuit went dead soon you
plugged appliance in, plug cord is
probably fault and should replaced. Then install new fuse or
reset tripped breaker. Call electrician. Simply replace damaged
cord plug before installing new
fuse resetting breaker.
When turning wall switch causes fuse blow
or breaker trip, short fixture outlet

Replace faulty fixture switch.
If you find visible signs trouble, though, you'll
have trace your way through circuit.

circuit breaker OFF. Then install
new fuse reset breaker. Replace defective
switch receptacle faulty wiring. Look for
black smudge marks faceplates or
frayed charred cords connected to

DOUBLE CHECK WITH TESTING DEVICE ABSOLUTELY SURE THE CIRCUIT DEAD. Look for charred wire

If circuit went dead soon you turned

With circuit dead, inspect outlet and switch for
charred wire insulation and faulty connections. Remove each faceplate and
inspect device and wiring. Then
install new fuse reset breaker.
