If turning wall switches doesn't blow
fuse trip breaker, trouble in
appliance. Replace defective
switch receptacle faulty wiring.
If circuit went dead soon you
plugged appliance in, plug cord is
probably fault and should replaced.
If circuit went dead soon you turned
appliance on, appliance its switch is
probably defective and should replaced
or repaired. Look for charred wire
insulation, wire shorted against back metal box,
or device literally falling apart.
Note: none the above solves the problem and your fuse breaker
still blows trips, your wiring fault.
If new fuse doesn't blow breaker
doesn't trip right away, turn each wall
switch, one one, until fuse blows or
circuit breaker trips.
With circuit dead, inspect outlet and switch for
