Wind farm network communication
In recent years, not only has the use wind energy
gained increasing significance, but the way which
electricity generated from wind energy has also been
revolutionized. Today,
individual turbines can generate several Megawatts (MW)
of electricity, and sites where the wind conditions are
particularly good they are now installed clusters so-
called wind farms rather than stand-alone turbines. Wind turbines not only transmit their
current operating status and the power currently being
generated, but also error messages, faults and large
number measurement and control signals.
The process controlling and monitoring wind farms is
very data-intensive. the early days, individual wind turbines
that generated relatively low power were used. This corresponds
to the power generated modern coal power station.
