Mudd worked for Edison until about 1926.140 Laverty noted that Fred Mudd supervised this shop
during his tenure (around 1910) and Mudd’s name appears the payrolls for the
period 1900 through 1914, although worked there longer.143

receivable stated that inventory had been made for several years-indicating a
lack usage. H.141 Mudd was one the
oldest serving members the West Orange labor force." This would have increased the usage this
space considerably.142 1925 decision was made centralize all purchasing
through this "Chemical Stock room.

Little known about the furnishings use this area during the late
nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
