Detektory pohybu jsou často určené
pro detekci pohybu zdrojů tepla v
jejich detekčním dosahu a automaticky
spínají připojená světla.
Infračervený snímek:
Ten je vyvolán pomocí pasivní infračervené
technologie. To znamená,
že integrované infračervené senzory
zaregistrují tepelné záření a převedou
ho na elektrický signál. Samotné
čidlo nevysílá žádné záření a
proto je označováno jako pasivní
infračervený senzor (PIR senzor).

light switches were originally only used for a
building's outside lighting and were primarily
used for security.
There little difference between motion de
tectors and occupancy detectors. Here they are referred
to occupancy detectors and are used to
save energy and increase security (Building
Facility Management). The PD2 for stand
ard applications, the PD9 for discrete applica
tions, the PD4 for larger areas and the PD5 for
retrofitting existing lights.G.
