The insulating material components containing voltage-carrying parts
must resistant creepage current.
Two electrodes, made sintered Wolfram carbide another sufficiently
corrosion-proof material and whose dimensions comply with Fig.0 ±0.
The electrodes are connected 175-VA(/50-Hz source (practically
sinusoidal).
Non-ceramic materials are tested specified below.9 The circuit includes overcurrent relay that has a
minimum triggering delay 0. The solution’s
volume resistivity 400 ohms 25° This equivalent a
concentration approx 0. When the electrodes are short-circuited, the total impedance of
the circuit adjusted variable resistor for current 1.1%.
A revision this testing method pending.
The surface the test object moistened between the two electrodes with
drops solution ammonium chloride and distilled water.
.
This test not performed with equipment rated nominal voltages V
or less. The entire
width both rounded edges must contact the test object. the surface.
A flat surface the test object with area least (if
possible) placed horizontal position.
Each electrode exerts force approx.
The electrodes must clean, properly rounded and properly positioned at
the start every test.
There may breakdowns sparkovers between the electrodes before a
total drops have been applied. the results are doubtful, the test must repeated
with new set test objects.
The interval between the drops seconds. The drop volume ±5-mm3. The solution is
dropped from height mm.1 A,
for cos 0.215, are
placed the surface the test object, shown this figure
